New York Subways Threatened

October 6th, 2005 | by Dr. Forbush |

Mayor Bloomberg anounces that the New York Subways are threatened.

The questions are: “Has the administration done anything to protect New Yorkers? Are the subways safer now than they were on 9/11/2001? Has the war in Iraq made New York safer? What has George W Bush done to improve security? Has it worked?”

Obviously this terror alert is another distraction from the administration to draw your attention away from the real stories: Tom DeLay, Bill Frist, Karl Rove…

You should read my blog and Bush speech today. To answre all your questions, which is basically all liberals have, He knows exactly what’s going on, so if you didn’t hear the speech, read it and learn!

This administration has cynically used fear whenevr it gets in trouble or needs political advantage. Like the boy who cried wolf and Dubbayuh’s political capital………..credibility has stretched very thin. Did Dick Cheney phone that threat in?!

Cranky, I’m sorry I have to say this because even though I disagree most of the time with what you have to post I still enjoy reading what you have to say and how you say it. But, when was the last attack in New York? 9/11 right! Will New York be attacked again? Yes, I’d bet it will be. Will New York ever be safe again? No, probably not NO MATTER who is in office. Just face the facts.

It’s a no will situation no matter whom is in office because as long as people want open borders and there liberties not invaded this country will ALWAYS be at risk.

J.P. Steele, your response is the typical liberal bullshit. It’s you liberals whom always cry wolf but NEVER have a solution for anything. Just keep up your bitching and moaning and stay the course of your “loser” party. We’ll just keep taking the elections. Thanx for your support.

Well Cranky, think you owe the President an apology. Or will you spin this statement some other way? My guess is you’ll keep spinning

President Bush said Friday that New York City officials exercised their own prerogative in publicizing a subway terror threat, declining to second-guess that decision or suggest they had overreacted.

“Our job is to gather intelligence and pass it on to local authorities. And they make the judgments necessary to respond,” Bush told reporters. Administration security officials had said on Thursday the threat to New York was of “doubtful credibility,” a phrase repeated earlier Friday by Bush’s spokesman.

“The level of cooperation between the federal government and the local government is getting better and better. And part of that level of cooperation is the ability to pass information on. And we did, and they responded,” Bush said during a picture-taking session at the White House with the prime minister of Hungary.

Asked if he thought New York officials had overreacted, Bush said: “I think they took the information we gave and made the judgments they thought were necessary. And the American people have got to know that, one, we’re collecting information and sharing it with local authorities on a timely basis. And that’s important.”

Earlier, White House spokesman Scott McClellan told reporters: “In this case, we notified New York City officials early on of the intelligence information that we had received. And while it is specific, you heard our homeland security officials say it is of doubtful credibility. It is something we continue to analyze.”

Where was the level of cooperation between the federal and local governments last month?

Why should I believe anything the government says?

Why would they give NYC specific info, and then say “don’t listen to it? We doubt its veracity?

The president and his staff didn’t pay attention to a memo on 8/6/2001. If they had many lives might have been saved.

We all read what you posted twice. As a resident of New York it doesn’t warm my heart.

Truthfully I don’t believe anybody; but I might believe the NYPD because I know how hard they have been working in the past four years at averting terrorism

And why does Cranky owe the president an apology when Dr. Forbush posted this?

And why does he owe anybody an apology when he was just reporting the news?

Homeland Security is a joke; the NYPD has proven itself over and over again–and there is much about them I don’t like

It’s Treason, Steve and Ottman who are out of touch, not us.

Admit it. You’re losing, and grasping at any straws to keep your beloved administration in power

    Pia:

Out of touch? Where in the Constitution does it guarantee you WILL NOT die in a terrorist threat or a hurricane?

You’ve told me countless times on this blog that you are a realist. Well are you? Or did that change recently.

It’s great that you show some appreciation to NYPD’s efforts to stop terrorism. But really that can be lost in your attempt at being a political zen master, whether or not to vote for Bloomberg for example since he was such a great leader after 9/11 or your emphatic contempt at anything our (yours and mine) President says or does. Or even after praising the NYPD you again wonder if you should trust them.

And now your thinking I am absolutely a nut case for saying Bush is “your President” and if you did, well guess what, you are out of touch with our Democratic process and our Constitution. You are just as equal and important and as valuable as all Americans. So suck it up, you’ll have your chance again in 2006 and 2008. Continue to whine, poke fun at and disagree with Bush all you want. That, you have the right to do but “continuing to whine, poke fun at and disagree” with conservative thought and you will still be here in 2006 and 2008 crying your eyes out like a child that couldn’t get the toy she wanted. Rest of America will not grasp your ideas and will again TUNE YOU OUT because you are just mean.

Ottman is absolutely right, your entire movement only asks questions. Calling out the 3 of us and calling us “out of touch” shows the 3 of us we are winning. I hope you guys run out Hillary in 2008 so we can bash the Clinton’s for the liars they are. Or maybe you’ll bring us Kerry again. We should be the one’s saying, “Bring It On”. So Bring it.

Wow. If you actually said anything of worth in that pointless diatribe, perhaps I would bash you more completely, but there’s nothing there to work with. It’s just you crying about how you’re right.

What a pathetic, little life you have. I can’t imagine what kind of a sad loser you must be to sit at a computer and bitch and cry about politics you don’t agree with. And just one site! Not only are you a complete loser, but you’re also a BIT obsessive.

And a complete moonbat, judging by that last post.

And I find it PRICELESS how you’re obviously constantly living in fear of me. Oh, that’s just beautiful. What a miserable, little dweeb. Ha!

It’s funny how you’re trying to stop fascism by being a fascist.

  12. By pia on Oct 9, 2005 | Reply

    Steve
I ask questions because I don’t know the answers. Simple.

No nothing guarantees that I or you won’t die in a hurricane or terrorist attack, but finding out all a person can if something might happen is just common sense.

As America is still a democracy I will ask all the questions that I want to as asking questions is the first step toward knowledge.

Find it funny that you called Brad a facist as facism didn’t allow questions.

Brad was right; I’m trying to make sense out of idiocy; I called out the three of you because you commented not for any sinster reasons.

  13. By Brad on Oct 9, 2005 | Reply

It’s okay, he clearly has no idea what fascism is. Few do, and only people who have actually bothered to educate themselves on the topic know what it entails. It’s typical conservatism to place a disparaging name on something while having no clue what it means.

I would NEVER expect you to actually know anything, “steve”.

  14. By steve on Oct 9, 2005 | Reply

If conservatism is fascism then you are the one that needs the education, dickhead. Actually to quote you: “Few do, and only people who have actually bothered to educate themselves on the topic know what it entails.” is the only proof I need to show how educated you are. You are in the majority. Congratulations here’s where you can start:

    Main Entry: fas·cism
    Pronunciation: ‘fa-”shi-z&m also ‘fa-”si-
    Function: noun
Etymology: Italian fascismo, from fascio bundle, fasces, group, from Latin fascis bundle & fasces fasces
1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
2 : a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control

Sound familiar Bradley? It should because definition 2 sounds a lot like YOU!!! We’ve all heard your autocratic bullshit. You are a one trick pony. Nothing more, nothing less. Stop being such an idiot and at least embrace the fact America is made up of different opinions.

FYI, here’s the definition of conservatismin case you’re up for a bit of reading. Sounds a bit like me eh?

I’m about ready for BYOC to break this thing up now. Where are you BYOC??

  15. By Brad on Oct 10, 2005 | Reply

Yeah, dumbfuck, I’m clearly exalting nation and race above the individual. Sounds kind Patriot Act-esque to me, eh? Severe economic and social regimentation? Hmm, REPUBLICAN, fuckhead! Forcible suppression of opposition. Need I say more?

Seems like someone I know, whose only retort to me is that I should “shut up” when you don’t agree with me.

You’re a petulant little child, steve. You mean nothing at all to anyone here. Your entire existence is useless to this whole fucking planet, seeing as how all you ever do is whine and cry on one liberal site. Do you realize how pointless you are? If so, perhaps you should lean into the strike zone and take one for the team if you know what I’m saying. But perhaps I’m being too obtuse.

Fuck you, dipshit. Point out one “autocratic” post I’ve made. Can’t do it? Maybe you should take your ball and go home like you promised to do before when you couldn’t take me constantly proving how much of a fucking idiot you are. Because NOBODY FUCKING CARES WHAT YOU THINK. Do you really imagine that you randomly spouting idiotic bullshit is really going to change anyone’s mind? Are you that fucking stupid?

Go fuck yourself, steve. And while you’re at it, you could do us all a favor and take the easy way out.

Class acts!! I wonder if talking about my wife counts as personal? Or the personal threat towards me? ariadneK? You said: “I look forward to socking you in the mouth myself if you dare show your lame ass here again…” Touching!!! Thanks for bringing up stuff on my blog, I enjoy seeing people stopping by and reading. Uh… it’s pretty obvious the Jimmy Carter thing was a joke and if it offends you so much, just say so and I will take it down. No problemo! Just stop by and tell me so. I listen to all my readers…

I also enjoy an explicitive filled rant from one of you from time to time… Those were great and very creative…

I can’t believe I’m arguing with a TROLL, the blog equivalent of a turd that just won’t flush. Ultimately, they don’t really do much harm, but, boy, are they annoying.

How does it feel to be one of the most despised figures of the internet age? You do realize that when people talk about “trolls” they’re referring to people like you, right?
