Quote of the Day January 24th 2006

January 25th, 2006 | by Paul Merda |

Liberty cannot be sacrificed for the sake of temperance, for the sake of morality, or for the sake of anything. It is of more value than everything else. Yet some people would destroy the sun to prevent the growth of weeds. – Col. Robert Ingersoll

Seemed way to apropos not to post this one. To think that over 100 years ago our country faced the same idiocy we face today. The only difference was that the Republican Party was the reasonable party, the party which Robert Ingersoll belonged. Strange how things change….

As the pendulum swings from one side to the other, each party will eventually take on the traits of the other. We see this happening as the Democratic party becomes Republican light.

Just another reason to be independent and think outside party dogma, focusing instead on that which provides the most good overall.
