World Economics
January 27th, 2006 | by Paul Merda |With the news that both GM and Ford plan to lay off 30,000+ workers in the next few years, it’s hard to be an optimist about the American Economy. In fact I don’t really think anyone is except Dear Leader. But, the news isn’t all bad, the Global Economy that was founded here in America is really taking off. People in developing nations are doing better, millions of Chinese and Indians have a better life and third world nation’s standard of living are rising too. For America it is a time if change and will continue to be a time of hardship for those unskilled laborers whose jobs are going to these afformentioned countries. America had better get ready, we better educate ourselves for the jobs of the future. How are we supposed to ride the Globalization wave when the GOP cuts spending on education just to keep its tax cuts for the wealthy?
