Hamas, Israel and Democracy
January 30th, 2006 | by Paul Merda |Well the Palestinians have exercised their rights and voted for Hamas to rule them. Yikes! The sad part is, you know who indirectly put them there, Israel. In an effort to keep the Palestinians down, the Israelis supported Hamas early on because they thought a religious movement was safer than a nationalist movement. I guess they didn’t see the religious movement becoming political. Oops!
