I am Most Afraid Of Pakistan

February 27th, 2006 | by Paul Merda |

Although I regularly blast the right-wing “fraidy-cats” that like to give Dear Leader carte-blanche in his Eternal War to Resubjugate Brown People, this time I am a bit concerned over Pakistan. For all of the “blast Iran back to the stone-age” folks who are really concerned about Nuclear Terrorism, Iran is NOT the country to be afraid of. The country that is teetering on the edge of another Islamic Revolution is Pakistan. That’s right, the same people who brought us the Taliban in Afghanistan are rioting and no doubt working to unseat their President, er, I mean Dictator, Mr. “Busharraf”. The problem here of course is that Pakistan not only has nukes, they have the means to deliver them and a population that generally embraces the radical Wahhibi Sect of Sunni Islam. Ya know, the people who hate the West and would gladly blow themselves up to get 72 Virgins in Paradise. Let’s hope Musharraf can keep his grasp on power, but as it looks right now, he is slowly and steadily losing his grip. Imagine that, Pakistan gets taken over by the Islamic Radicals, gets Nukes, starts there own “terrorist” nation and no one wants to stop them because they have nukes already…

Pakistan is our ally mostly in name only. If Musharef loses his grasp on power, all bets are off. We certainly don’t have the support of their population from what I see and hear.

Indeed Ken, that’s precisely the problem.  We are currently backing a man that they hate, and I am sure they will not quickly forget where we stood in this respect.
