How Dear Leader Misled Himself and the Country
February 28th, 2006 | by Paul Merda |If you don’t like the result keep asking for more information until you get something you like. That seems to be the way the Bush Admin. has been running the War in Iraq, and probably everything else too. The Bush Admin. has recklessly ignored all Intelligence Information that does not fit into their preconceived world-view with how Iraq SHOULD be going; which, of course is why they are now on the brink of complete Civil War in Iraq. A major secondary problem to these guys ignoring what they don’t like, not only ignoring but vocally complaining, is that Intelligence Analysts are now doing what they call self-censorship. Why would an Analyst put his career on the line to tell it like it is when the boss is going to be dissatisfied with the “defeatist attitude”? Man, this system is broke…… Once again our elected leaders have ignored the words of Sun Tzu:
Know yourself and know your enemy and in a hundred battles you will never be defeated

Sun Tzu was rutheless - cutting the heads off his employers favorite concubine to wrangle the rest of the harrem. Perhaps the W, Rove and Co are reading Sun Tzu but selectively following their favorite, more rutheless points.

Yup, cherry-picking just the information they like — that’s Bush’s MO. Everything is going great in Iraq, global warming is just a myth, the economy is doing better and better, we’re just about to capture Osama bin Laden, and of course we’ve just captured the Number Two al Qaeda operative (for the 800th time). Tell GWB exactly what he wants to hear, or you’re fired.
