Cheney, Cheney, Cheney

Because lord knows he hates being in the media’s crosshairs.

While everyone has been talking about ports, security, Iran, civil war and whatever else the Bush administration throws out there to distract the media, TruthOut.org is reporting that the White House turned over last week 250 pages of emails from Vice President Dick Cheney’s office. Senior aides had sent the emails in the spring of 2003 related to the leak of covert CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson, Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald revealed during a federal court hearing Friday.

Sources say that these e-mails will prove that Cheney spearheaded the effort to out Plame, they also say that the e-mails will also prove that Cheney lied to FBI investigators when he was interviewed about the leak in early 2004. Looks like it’s open season on Cheney!

Somebody must have been really busy to write 250 pages of email. If there was any wrongdoing here, I hope that all the wrongdoers will be caught and punished. If one of those is the Vice President, ok by me.

Impeachment is not reserved for the president’s office.  Any public official can be impeached.  Let the proceedings begin, I say.  But, we may have to wait until after November turns the tide.
