Ohio in 2006
March 27th, 2006 | by Paul Merda |My favorite Conservative, George Will, gives his perspective on Ohio for the 2006 Elections. The GOP controls nearly all of Ohio politics and guess what, they are nearly all implicated in some form of corruption or another. While the redistricting of many Congressional Districts has limited the number of competitive races for the house (estimated at 35 or so), the Senate has no such protection which is going to make it rough for Sen. DeWine to win, who by the way is running against Sharod Brown one of the most Liberal Democrats in Ohio. Not to mention that Dear Leaders numbers aren’t looking so good and Gov. Taft is faring even worse in the polls; he hit a low of 6, yes single digit 6, for an Approval rating. With all of the GOP troubles both Nationally and in my fine State of Ohio, we may see Ohio turning blue in 2006… I certainly hope so!
