Bush is No Conservative

March 29th, 2006 | by Paul Merda |

President Bush passes himself off as a conservative Republican and a born-again Christian. These are disguises behind which Bush hides.

Dear Leader, no Conservative, at least that’s what Paul Craig Roberts is saying. He’s certainly not an Economic Conservative, look at the Deficit spending and the fact that we had to raise the Debt Ceiling. Dear Leader can’t be called a Political Conservative; “a political Conservative does not confuse government for country.” Patriotism means loyalty to country, our Constitution, Bill of Rights and Separation of Powers not blind allegience to the Federal Government or even to one particular Party. Dear Leader continues his power grab ignoring his Constitutional limits:
The Right to Assemble has been infringed, just ask protestors how often they actually get a chance to Protest where Dear Leader can see them.
Dear Leader has ignored Habeus Corpus and can, at a whim, have anyone detained indefinitely by merely accusing them of being a Terrorist.
Dear Leader has refused to obey statutory law; FISA.
Let us not forget the vast number of Signing Statements he has issued effectively telling the Congress what their laws are suppossed to mean; isn’t that a job of a Judge?

Not only is Dear Leader not a Conservative, he appears more like a Dictator everyday and the sad part is, our Congress and Judiciary are letting him get away with it. They are all complicit in the unravelling of our great Republic.
