He Lied to Us Again, Proof too
March 2nd, 2006 | by Paul Merda |Once again it has been PROVEN that Dear Leader lied to us. Dear Leader was warned “In dramatic and sometimes agonizing terms…..before Hurricane Katrina struck that the storm could breach levees, risk lives in New Orleans’ Superdome and overwhelm rescuers, according to confidential video footage of the briefings.” Yes sir, it’s all on video. What did he say after Katrina (also on video), “I don’t think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees”?!?!? Well, well, well, another lie, more deaths, no accountability. When will our Congress finally do something, I mean anything, to censure this so-called Leader? Playing guitar with a country music star while NOLA drowned. Nero would be so proud….

Hmmm, as of even today, there are folks who haven’t quite grasped the capacity of this administration to lie through their teeth for political gain. I’m liknking up.

Us movie geeks know that Orson Welles, when given incredible carte blanche to direct ‘Citizen Kane’ said that directing a movie was “the biggest toy train set a boy ever had”
Well, as I look at that video of President Bush and remember the post Katrina news coverage, I think Orson’s train set looks very poor indeed. Let’s not forget the mechanism that reared up after those events took place. How many newstories and online polls and television personalities busted their BUTTS to deflect any blame from our President’s lap?
The L.A. times has a story which says the AP had that video from the get-go. I think it’s high time that the elephant in the room be painted bright yellow. No Administation in my lifetime has had such a toy train at it’s disposal. Talking dismissively of “Blame Gaming and Finger pointing” and letting the Federal Government off the hook for Katrina was a LOT of people’s jobs in the days and weeks after Katrina. Some of these people were the same people who, during the disaster, did a darned good job of contrasting what was REALLY going on to what the White House SAID was going on. How sad to watch their spines slowly retract.
Yes, it’s just another lie in boneyard filled with lies. But, sooner or later, I’d like this glaring advantage to be part of the National Dialouge. Nobody has ever had so many work so hard to cover their asses. Nobody.
