This is the Kind of Thinking that Starts Wars
May 24th, 2006 | by Paul Merda |We now have our esteemed Energy Secretary, Sam Bodman, telling everyone that if Iran cut off oil, we would all be just fine. He says we have years of Reserves that would tide us over in the event Iran turned off the spigot. Hell, when do we start dropping those bombs, after all the only thing we have to be concerned about is the price of oil. Who cares how many people we kill and how many billions of dollars more we will spend to fight another war of aggression. Now that we don’t have to worry about oil prices skyrocketing when do we open the can of whoop-ass?
I don’t buy it though. Just the threat of conflict has driven crude prices up, just the threat. Imagine what would happen if we did attack… ya know, besides the carnage.
