Limbaugh is a scumbag and I am loathe to defend him, but what isn’t being reported is that after his slanderous attack on Michael J. Fox, he came back on the air and admitted he was wrong and apologized.

I actually heard both segments this morning on the way in to work.

Limbaugh is reprehensible, and his apology doesn’t dismiss the ugly things he asserted, but he did offer what seemed to be an authentic apology (for him at least) and I think his own ugly rhetoric simply ran out of his mouth a bit too soon. Nothing new, but in this one case, the fact of his on-air retraction and apology isn’t getting told in the news stories about this. In that sense, whether Limbaugh deserves it or not, he is being treated as unfairly as he has treated others. And two wrongs never make a right.

Well, then I apologize to Limbaugh for saying that he exaggerates his humanity. To err is human, as they say. They could also probably add “To say hurtful, stupid things is human”. In that sense, Rush is fully human.
