That’s it. I’m sick and fuckin’ tired of all this Post-9/11 BULLSHIT. The world did not change on 9/11 - the Earth continues to orbit the Sun, people still shit out their asses, and Rush Limbaugh is still a scumbag. NOTHING CHANGED.

I remember, as a kid I day-dreamed about what the world would be like IN THE YEAR 2000 (you have to sing it they way they used to on Conan O’Brien). Well, it finally came and went, and you know what? It was a fuckin’ disappointment. Cars don’t fly, there’s no space-base on Mars, and Prime Time TV still completely sucks. NOTHING CHANGED.

People have been killing each other since there have been people. Bugs do it, plants do it, fish do it, microbes do it, everything does it. Even stars and planets and meteors kill each other. All Terran life forms kill each other. We are not Divine Images of God - we’re just fuckin’ animals like the rest of ‘em. It’s been going on forever. NOTHING CHANGED.

Muslims and Buddhists and Hindus and Christians and Jews and Pagans and Sihks and Jains and Rastas and Scientologists and the all rest of them ALL KILL EACH OTHER. There’s nothing new to see here, folks. We’ve been killing each other forever. Oh, sure, we come up with all sorts of rationales for killing each other - religion, politics, race, oil, laughs. But, in the end, it is simply humans being humans over the course of time. NOTHING CHANGED.

And I’m fuckin’ sick to death of all the God damned FEAR MONGERING. From witches to blacks to commies to gays to Arabs to fuck knows what’s next, all we hear is FEAR, FEAR, FEAR. I’m fuckin’ sick of it. Even my favorite atheist, Sam Harris, had a column out this week flogging his fellow liberals for not being “sensitive to the the dangers of religious extremism” when it comes to Muslims. Well, Sam, what would you have us do? Kill ‘em all and let the Stream of Consciousness sort ‘em out? What are you thinking? Not you too, Sam! I mean, I can understand the Dogs of the Military Industrial Complex howling out the threats to the “future of civilization.” It’s how they get away with stealing our tax dollars. That’s what the Cold War was all about. Sure, there were commies in America - IN THE 1930′S! - THERE WAS A FUCKIN’ DEPRESSION! What do you expect? But in the 1950’s? The 60′S? The 70’s? The 80’s? C’MON!!! America was an economic powerhouse! Why the hell would we want to turn communist then? It’s the same irrational fear we see today. Stupid, idiot, moron Americans in their comic-book universes just happen to be stupid and idiotic and moronic enough to believe that ululating hordes of fanatically Muslim Hashshashins are going to come riding across the ocean on their Arabian steeds, waving their scimitars in the air to conquer America. It’s the same stupid fear, over and over again, just a different Bogey Man. NOTHING CHANGED.

So, Pre-9/11, Post-9/11, Pre-6/12, Post-3/13, whatever. It’s all the same. Nothing has changed. Yes, a bunch of sickos killed three-thousand Americans. Maybe if that murderous, treacherous Reagan hadn’t deregulated the airlines, it wouldn’t have happened. But then, who knows? Maybe the terrorists would’ve found some other chink in our armor. Who the fuck knows? We went into Afghanistan to root out the OBL Gang and all we managed to do was create a Heroine manufacturer that will kill more Americans than the terrorists could in their best century! Meanwhile, stupid, idiot, moron Americans stand in the way of Embryonic Stem Cell research that with each day delayed could be murdering tens of thousands by proxy. I wonder what will these stupid, idiot, morons will say when a real cure for a real killer disease is one day discoverd via this research and the researchers say, “Well, we could have found this 20 years earlier, but Americans are stupid, idiot, morons so - NOTHING CHANGED.”

Okay. I feel better now.
