So will they listen to the Generals in Iraq?

November 15th, 2006 | by Craig R. Harmon |

No, not the administration. This time I mean the Democrats. One of the criticisms of Bush is that he ignored the generals in his policy in Iraq. Now the top generals in Iraq are warning against a timetable for withdrawal of troops from Iraq and the question is, will they listen to the generals?

As stupid as Pelosi is being about elevating ethics-challenged legislators, like John “unindicted co-conspirator” Murtha and Alcee “impeached and removed from the bench for soliciting a $150,000 bribe” Hastings to leadership positions of the House right after an election where Democrats won big ranting about the Republican culture of corruption, my guess is, the answer will be no. They’ll probably have John “this ethics bill is crap” Murtha at the mikes soon calling for immediate strategic redeployment of troops to Okinawa where they’ll be ready at a moment’s notice if they’re needed in the war on terror.

Fuck the generals. In America, the representatives of the people make the decisions, not the generals.

Is that the same as an HMO making choices for your medical care instead of your doctor?

Well Democrats can’t have it both ways: Bush is evul for ignoring the Generals in Iraq but fuck the Generals when they counsel against the Democrat’s plan because, well, what the hell do they know anyway?

    A little consistency please.
