Political Ethics: Important Campaign Issue
November 19th, 2006 | by Craig R. Harmon |but at least one Democrat thinks it’s total crap and apparently there are a number of others who would just as soon the promise of the most ethical and transparent Congress in history was forgottenjust as soon as possible so that they can continue the politics as usual.
So what’s the difference between the Republicans’ culture of corruption and that of the Democrats? I guess we’ll see. I seriously hope that the same majority of Democratic House members that rejected Murtha will stay serious about ethics reform because there’s no group of people more in need of ethical oversight (preferably independent oversight) than the U. S. Congress.

The difference is the amount of money and who it’s coming from. There is some overlap, true, but overall the GOP is and always has been far more corrupted by Big Biz, Big Agro and MIC dollars than the Dems. The Demms have always been far more corrupted by Labor and infrastructure contract dollars. I’ll take the latter over the former anyday.
