Bring It On!

Heading To An Undisclosed Location

March 28th, 2007 | by Ken Grandlund |

No, not Dick Cheney.

After a year and a half of steady work, I’m finally going to take a vacation. And while I don’t have a big ranch on which to cut brush, or a friend to take into the woods and shoot in the face, I can still make do with a visit to my old home state of Washington. It’s a beautiful place for those who’ve never tread there before. I last went up three summers ago for a week of camping in the Olympic National Forest. Here’s a sample…

This time, I’ll be taking the family to the other side of the state to stay with and visit some family.

I won’t be online for about a week or so. My family is great, but when it comes to computers and modern technology, they make the Geico caveman look like Einstein. But really, that’s just fine with me. After all, part of ‘getting away from it all’ has to include taking a BIO break too.

See you all around the Easter weekend. Be good to each other.

Since I live in eastern WA state I can tell you that this morning the sun is out, sky is clear, wildflowers are at least thinking about blooming and in my town the big balloons are going up for the first looksee of the valley. You made a great choice to come back for a visit. Have a great vacation.

I am so jealous! Enjoy the peace and quiet Ken. We will hold down the ‘fort’ until you return refreshed and ready to take aim at our current administration again :)

Thanks everyone- We head out very early tomorrow morning.

Mainsail- glad to hear it’s finally warming up. As tammara notes it has been raining a lot up there lately. Tammara, I’ve got all my warm clothes stuffed in the bag.

Jet, Dusty- thanks! I will try to slip in some cheer for you both and promise to return with plenty of vim and vigor!

tos- I shall enjoy. I do know a Nick and a Bob, and at one time a Charlotte too. So even though we speak of different ones, I wish all Bobs, Nicks, and Charlottes a hearty hello.
