Anyone Still Think The Iraq Plan Is Working?
August 2nd, 2007 | by Tom Baker |If anyone out there still thinks this Iraq “plan” that the President has is working, someone may want to inform the Iraqi government. Or should I say what’s left of it. There is a little less today after Iraq’s largest Sunni political bloc decided to quit in protest. That’s got to be uplifting for our men and women acting as human shields so that they can vacation get their shit together.
According to CNN, The Iraqi Accord Front, Iraq’s largest Sunni political bloc left the Cabinet yesterday because they felt they were being “marginalize d”. The group has been critical of legislative stalemates and the failure to achieve national reconciliati on, a key U.S. benchmark for Iraq, and it warned last week that it would pull its six Cabinet minister from the government.
I guess they didn’t see any massive improvement in a whole week so they thought it was OK to quit.
Considering the death toll in Iraq for our troops was 79 in July, maybe they have the right idea.
