Police State at it Again
August 29th, 2007 | by Paul Merda |A poor soul of a trucker,Anas tasio Prieto, who doesn’t use banks had nearly $24k in his truck and was stopped and asked by Law Enforcement if he had any illegal contraband or cash in excess of $10,000; he told them he had the cash. The DEA then seized it and said they will gladly return it if he, yes he, can prove that it’s his and isn’t from Drug Trafficking… Whatever happened to “innocent until proven guilty”? This man just got robbed by our government and fortunately the ACLU has taken up his suit against the DEA. May the DEA get screwed! More at Dispatches from the Culture Wars.
