No Basis For Comparison
March 17th, 2008 | by Windspike |Found out this about Barack Obama’s mother:
Kansas was merely a way station in her childhood, wheeling westward in the slipstream of her furniture-sa lesman father. In Hawaii, she married an African student at age 18. Then she married an Indonesian, moved to Jakarta, became an anthropologi st, wrote an 800-page dissertation on peasant blacksmithin g in Java, worked for the Ford Foundation, championed women’s work and helped bring microcredit to the world’s poor.
Makes me wonder what George W. Bush’s mother has done to advance the world. I’m sure there’s no basis for comparison, but it looks to me that Barak Obama is coming from a solid rather the entirely privileged lineage like some Presidents we know.
