Clinton “may” run as an independent
May 1st, 2008 | by Steve O |Is Hillary the next Ralph Nader?
–After the last primary election votes are counted in South Dakota and Montana June 3 just enough superdelegates declare for Obama to insure his nomination by the thinnest of margins.
–Hillary Clinton claims that the decision to exclude the Florida and Michigan delegations has distorted the nominating process and that the only way to have a fair resolution to this year’s campaign is to carry the fight into the general election. She decides to run as an independent.

I would happily donate to her campaign if she were to go independent. Run Hillary run. Perhaps Bill will run as her VEEP.

Bill O’Reilly?… LOL. That would be “rich”.
I wouldn’t be surprised if she played the “I” card… After all didn’t their friend Lieberman pull that trick? They’re giving us Indys a bad name.
Peace,

While clearly little more than speculation exists in the article, were Hillary to actually pull a Lieberman and go “independent” for the general election, she would no longer have even a facade to hide behind. I have posited before that she is in this for the power more than anything else, and any such move as this would verify that opinion.
The Clinton campaign has attempted to batter Obama throughout, even to the point of tacitly supporting McCain over her Democratic rival. So while she makes the claim towards being a Democrat and wanting to take the country away from the Bush nightmare, I doubt she would do much to change our political realities at all. An independent run by her, and the resulting likelihood of a McCain win, would only cement the nefarious state of our politics for another generation and likely deliver this country to more Bush-like governing.
For a woman who pretends to want to make things better, Hillary’s quest for personal power over national betterment shows her to care little for our future. She only cares for herself.

Senator Clinton needs to run as an Independent. Reasons:
1. MI
2. FL
3. 16 million plus votes
4. perfectly self constructed middle of the road candidate (and not just age “wise”)
5. Reagan Republican support
6. Independents can give interviews on FOX w/o retribution
7. Demonstrated ability to work w/ Republicans
8. Woman, Hispanic, and blue collar vote
9. Energetic and relentless campaigner
10.Won Ohio, can carry MI and FL
11. Voters ready for an Independent who can break tie between Dems and Repubs
12. Has been done before
13. Media will eat it up for the ratings
14. Bloomberg as wealthy VP and Independent or Lieberman as Independent or who knows Edwards is sitting in the wings ready to “serve”
15.Still has influential Hollywood money
16.Only a matter of time when Wright sticks foot in mouth
17. Democrats will self destruct at the convention because the Clinton delegates will be “no shows” – no need for 68′
18. Conservatives are staying home this time around
19. The Fall debates will illustrate Obama’s lack of policy and McCain’s lack of vision
20. America loves persistence and the underdog!
Clinton as Independent!
