Bat Shit Crazy, That’s What That Is!

OMG! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There seems to me no question that the Batman film “The Dark Knight,” currently breaking every box office record in history, is at some level a paean of praise to the fortitude and moral courage that has been shown by George W. Bush in this time of terror and war.  — Wall Street Journal

Hee hee! GASP!! Whew! What a riot!!! More, please. If I knew the WSJ was capable of comedy at this level, I’d have subscribed long ago.

Well, the WSJ wasn’t a bastion of idiots until Rupert bought it.

Heath Ledger did do a good job capturing the essence of GWB, didn’t he?

I saw the flick… perhaps Two Face was what they were referring to.

We just saw the film. It seems to me that the message is a refutation of the general idea that a good end can justify bad means; the point they make is that no matter how much he wants to, Batman will not violate a strict moral code. For example, even after the Joker murders the woman Batman is in love with, along with a bunch of other people, Batman has the opportunity to kill him - or just to let him die - and is sorely tempted but can’t do it and keeps him alive. He looks up to the DA who is a total straight arrow as the town’s ultimate hope, someone better than he himself is. That is an absoulute rebuttal to the Bush administration’s insistence that we have to be willing to break the rules and do evil to fight evil, e.g. Cheney’s remarks about working on the dark side.
