Obama appears to be campaigning with the wrong Larry.

The Army is picking on 17-year-olds again. Note to recruiter: Army recruiting regulations say delayed entry members can leave any time. They specifically mention “under no circumstances will any (recruiter) threaten, coerce, manipulate, or intimidate (future soldiers), nor may they obstruct separation requests.”

The Virginian Republican Party would like you to know that even though “there is no evidence that the three people arrested were involved in identity theft, nor is there any evidence that that they are part of a widespread, coordinated voter fraud effort.” They are warning everyone that they should not register to vote.

Man I’m glad my Mom only smoke and had that occasional drink during my baking period.

Public service announcement for the Extreme Northern Hemisphere: On Friday, August 1st, millions of people in Greenland, Siberia, Mongolia and China—especially China—are going to witness a total eclipse of the sun. FYI: DON’T LOOK AT IT!!!

Christ, this is depressing — 300,000 to 800,000 — can you live with it?

Dear Senator McCain, About every seven years, your body replaces the equivalent of an entirely new skeleton. Are you happy with your last skeleton?

I don’t think the death penalty is ever right - the state’s duty is to protect us from predators, but it can do that by putting them in prison for life without parole - but if there is any class of human predator that comes closest to deserving it in my mind, it’s the pimp, and ten times more so for any adult who participates in child prostitution. I’ve worked with women who were victimized that way, and in every one of their instances the emotional and psychological damage is unbelievable. I try not to hate anyone, but in this case I can’t manage that.
