You be the judge. I’m just amazed the old man knows what Wikipedia is.

Who freaking cares where he gets his info? Before the Olympics started Friday, no one gave a flying fuck about Georgia, it’s government or the fact that Russia was ready to pounce them as soon as the Chinese counted down.

At least McCain gets his info from using the internets and the google (and the wikipedia) and not some dumbass racist preacher or the Koran.

Steve, first off, Georgia seems to be a proxy war. You should care and maybe read up a little more on what’s going on. And yes before the Olympics no one in the U.S. cared because the MSM wasn’t reporting it.

And secondly, geez, aren’t we a little touchy about where McSame gets his info?

watch this little reuters clip on why this situation is important. This pipeline moves 1.3 million barrels/day to the west. Russia will now control the pipeline.

    Steve,
How many people in 1938 cared about the Sedatenland?

Before 2001, did you give a shit about Afghanistan?

in 1978, did America care about Iran?

These days the events in far flung places with funny names will be on our shores or raising our prices very wuickly. This is the downside of an interconnected world. (The upside is supposed to be that everybody realises what the consequences are so stops doing stupid shit, but you kno,w, reality and stuff gets in the way)

    Mr. Watson:

None… But Britain sure cared for America when we came and saved your limey asses in WWII. Without America, Britain and Europe are nothing but German speaking Socialists.

    Only for the opiates…

America was stupid in 1978 because they were a year into the worst US President ever’s first term.

Steve O, I didn’t say I didn’t care. I totally fucking care… 1/3 of our army is spread over Iraq and Afghanistan with a 1/3 of our equipment and with shrinking recruitment because you liberals can’t tolerate a little “regime change” for oil. The US can’t do shit for Georgia after they came and helped us in Iraq. And that is the most fucked up part. Plus Georgia was trying to get into NATO and that would have really fucked Russia then…

Also Steve O, this looks like Afghanistan all over…

Basically, Russia take Geogia, then Armenia and Ajerbijian and wow… looky here, they plug their oil pipes into Iran’s and you can distribute your oil out to China and India much easier than going over land. It’s what they wanted when they tried to take Afghanistan in 1979. A place to sell their oil to fund the cold war machine. It’s why Reagan gets credit for kicking their ass (and starting the Iran/Iraq conflict so the USSR couldn’t push further easily). Think about it!

    steve,
Yeah, you showed up. A couple of years late to the party, as normal. The only war you made on time was Vietnam and without the British to cover your arse, your lost that one. Hmmm. This jingoistic slanging match is fun. Hope no one’s taking it seriously, though.

    steve,
Without Britain, the US is currently Spanish or Dutch. You owe us your very existence, I don’t think getting your help in a couple of piddling little wars really repays allowing you to have your independence out of the goodness of King George’s heart.

Paul, Actually, King George was over extended, over spent and over taxed. He had to end his little tyrannical escapade to keep the colonies.

Steve, even without our intervention Germany would have eventually collapsed on itself. The war was the economy and from the beginning Hitler was looting to finance the war.

As far as your little hissy fit at the end. Don’t blame us, blame your President for such a short sited foreign policy. We didn’t need Iraq, we could have fought the terrorists in Afghanistan just fine. Now we cannot react to anything else in the world.

    Steve O,
Well, duh. I’d have thought the rest of the post might have tipped you off that my tongue was firmly embedded in my cheek.
