At least he doesn’t think there are 57 states.
By Steve O on Aug 16, 2008 | Reply
Ummm, Alex, is that the best you got? I’ll remind you and everyone that when he said that he was insinuating that he had visited all 50 states, some of them twice. If you actually listen to the sound bite there is no question.
At least he can remember that we have states, this guy McCain is in his own state.

Like I said, looking more like senile dementia every time he opens his mouth.

As Strangelove adds:
“Of course it would be absolutely vital that our top government and military men be included to foster and impart the required principles of leadership and tradition. Naturally, they would breed prodigiously, eh? There would be much time, and little to do. But ah with the proper breeding techniques and a ratio of say, ten females to each male, I would guess that they could then work their way back to the present gross national product within say, twenty years.”

Fortunately I get what McCain is saying, unlike the rest of you that hate old people.
McCain is basically saying it’s major power going to war (besides us) since the Cold War. Obviously he left out acknowledging, um 9/11, the Iraq war, 7/7 bombings in London, the huge Tidal Wave and um, Katrina (since Bush didn’t use the weapons to destroy the hurricane like he did the world trade center)… but I get it and all you Obama worshippers should figure that out before you make the wrong decision. (My facebook page has me as a fan of Obama and McCain…I can’t friggin decide either)

@ steve
It should be an easy decision.
As a republican you can recognize that one is white and one is half white.
As a democrat you can recognize that one is bright and one is a halfwit.

You know steve, I forgot all about the Tsunami when I made this but I’m not running for leader of the free world.
And what I got out of his comment was, here is a cold war warrior who does not consider anything short of nuclear annihilation stand off as anything significant but will respond to those insignificant incidents with cold war force.
I don’t want a cold war warrior as President, especially some one who considers the first Gulf War I served in as insignificant.

Dude… Steve O, you probably honored ‘merica bouncing around in a boat (shooting off cruise missiles annihilating thousands). That is not a war. That isn’t even Call of Duty 4. It was Battlefield: Bad Company… maybe. j/k
Seriously though… If you didn’t serve in that war, there would probably be no BIO if you think about it? You wouldn’t have cared about this shit at all. You would have probably created an Allman Brothers fan site.
By Steve O on Aug 16, 2008 | Reply
Steve, I CANNOT believe you just tried to swift boat me. Really, you’re kidding right? (tongue-in-cheek)
I’d create an Allman Brothers site but I’m too stoned right now.

I did nothing in my late teen/early 20’s years to radically change my life… Just some Sunny Delight and grocery store brand Vodka! Good Times!!

Barack has made a number of misstatements, as has his wife. This is a fact of public speaking.
And McCain has said some things that he clearly didn’t mean, or certainly couldn’t have meant from the way the comments came out.
But McCain has also said numerous things that make you wonder what is going on in his head. It’s scary some of the things he has said. He clearly has a more belligerent world view than Bush and Cheney. And some of those things were in prepared statements.
By Liberal Jarhead on Aug 17, 2008 | Reply
Steve, did you have a Boone’s Farm Crappy Wine tank top like the one I wore through high school?
Steve O, at least it’s Allman Brothers and not Lynyrd Skynyrd with that Sweet Home Alabama horseshit: “… Watergate does not bother me, does your conscience bother you?” WTF was that supposed to mean other than bragging about being ignorant and apathetic? They lost me with that line right there.
By Barack Obama 4 President on Aug 17, 2008 | Reply
It’s amazing the amount of absolutely stupid things that John McCain says that he gets away with without any sort of play in the MSM.
They go after every Obama “error” like a bunch of wolves. The whole idea that the MSM is biased towards Obama is insane.
The MSM is running far more negative stuff on Obama.

No LJ, but I had a Schlitz Malt Liquor poster in my bedroom during second grade though.

McCain can’t win he’s the wrong color.

What is that, the Hillary CLinton defense? A loss is always the repsonsibility of someone else and not because you just came up short? Yeah, a whiney baby is exactly what we need in the Whitehouse. ::eyeroll::

Wow, this is one of the better posts I’ve seen in a while.
From Mccain to Swift Boating to Allman Brothers to cheap screwdrivers.
I think I need to sit down…………
By SaveOurSkyline on Aug 19, 2008 | Reply
Eh… come on, you whiny nitpicker. McCain is a slimy asscheek, but intentional misinterpretation and taking things out of context makes you look like a whiny little bitch. Emotionally immature people are always on the lookout for something to get offended about.
By Craig R. Harmon on Aug 19, 2008 | Reply
SaveOurSkyline,
Wherein is anyone intentionally misinterpreting or taking things out of context in this post? On the face of it, McCain’s comment sounds pretty ridiculous. The Russia/Georgia is the most significant international crisis since the end of the cold war how? More internationally critical than 9/11 and terrorism around the globe? Than our invasion and continuing military incursions into two middle eastern countries? I guess one could argue that it’s a judgment call rather than forgetting about these pretty significant international crises but it sounds like pretty silly judgment to me.

Eh. After watching that saddleback thing it’s pretty clear they both suck and most americans could care less concerning a lot of crucial issues. I like how nothing was said about our national debt, but they were presented with the extremely tough question of supporting orphans. Like one would turn out to be pro orphan and the other anti, give me a break. “In todays news, support in obama has diminished since he admitted that he hates orphans.” So great, we have 2 candidates that are anti evil, pro education, will hand off gay marriage to the state, and know when to smile and not to smile. Shit! America wins either way!
