Erick Erickson from RedState Sounds Like a Whiney Bitch
September 1st, 2008 | by Steve O |To be honest, talking about certain aspects of Sarah Palin’s life have not been the easiest and as John from AMERICAblog points out some stuff wasn’t even touched. In his post he talks about an unnamed campaign staffer blaming Sarah’s woes on “liberal bloggers.” Although Erick is not the unnamed source I believe he is the messenger and here is the e-mail I received from him today in regards to Bristol Palin being pregnant out of wedlock and having sex before the knot was tied:
As we noted earlier: The foul denizens of Obama’s online base, who find the very idea of Sarah Palin as a strong feminist conservative mother absurd, engaged in the worst kind of putrid mudslinging over the past few days, suggesting in no uncertain terms that her daughter was the mother of Trig Palin. Of course, those of us who laughed at the baseless suggestions of the child-hating left (she’s not fat enough! they shriek) now know that to be impossible. We also know that McCain himself knew of Bristol’s pregnancy – which had to have made this past 48 hours all the more frustrating for the campaign. For all these reasons, it’s good to have this announcement come now.
We’ll see how the media inevitably bashes this young woman for her choice in the coming days, in the wake of covering up the John Edwards love child for 2+ years, and botching the story when it came out as they bent over backwards to avoid criticism. Nah, that wasn’t bias.
But it’s fitting that in this moment, one of the toughest a young woman can face, Bristol Palin has chosen on her own to take the right path. This baby is not a “punishment,”, as Obama so famously said; it is not an object to be destroyed, as Obama argued for in the Illinois State Senate; he or she is a human life, one worthy of receiving the love of a mother and father. And we rejoice in the knowledge that a family will receive this blessing into the world.
Have no doubts about this: Bristol Palin is brave. Braver than any of the hideous bloggers, hiding in their anonymity, who throw muck at her mother and who will doubtlessly revile her decision. Braver than the foes of the right to life who would offer her a knife and a vacuum to end this minor inconvenience. Brave enough to know that it’s not enough to talk about doing the right thing – it’s doing that right thing when the moment calls for it the most.
We thank her for making this choice now – her child will thank her forever.
We send our strongest prayers and best wishes for Bristol Palin, for her future husband, for her child, and for the entire Palin clan.
Admittedly, I did speculate on the rumor but never proclaimed that the rumor was true, like dozens of other liberal blogs. I would like to point out to Erick (with a “k”) that if it wasn’t for McCain’s reckless choice for a nomination the liberal blogosphere wouldn’t have had to vet his choice for him.
I suggest next time that John McCain spend a little time with his choice for VP (instead of one phone call). Then again I do not believe there will be a next time, he is 72-years-old and displays symptoms that will probably impede him from running in 2012.
So maybe McCain should have just done a better job this time and Erick (with a “k”) wouldn’t sound like such a whiney little bitch.
I normally would not link to RedState but here is the rest of Erick’s (with a “k”) post, undoubtedly a sneaky trick to get me to visit his site, sadly, it worked.

You’re kidding, right? His age and health is a major factor in this election.
It is a major reason that presidents have to release their medical records.

FDR was in a wheel chair from polio and subsequently died in office during the greatest war in American history. He was elected 4 times. And I know what it is like to live with someone that had polio and endured the life long problems associated with it: My mom.
I spent an hour reading this dribble on all these sites you tagged. Just a bunch of high school gossip whores if you ask me. Next thing we’ll hear from Obama’s camp (Kos) is that Bristol was fucked by her dad and that is why Trig is “goofy”. Kos is a sad place…

Oh and age and health are not a big factor in this election or you would be calling him McAged instead of McSame.

Excuse me Guilluame Barre not polio…

Steve, I feel for you but what you just described is not the topic of the post.
Sarah Palin is recieving the tough vetting because McCain refused to do it and if he had done a thorough vetting Palin would not have been a choice.
The sites you described and RedState is one of them, are doing what the MSM should be doing but since they are payed off it’s up to the citizens to find out what is what.
I don’t feel sorry for Palin, I think she should be pissed that McCain put her in this position.

Dude… you don’t come out of Alaska to join this race unless you want to. Palin wanted too. I think it is courageous if you ask me. How could they hide Bristol’s kid? But to throw Trig into it? C’mon…

Yeah I see Steve O that you state you didn’t think it was true… I saw it from the beginning but you have to admit, this shit is petty…
By Steve O on Sep 1, 2008 | Reply
Steve, it’s not petty, it fly’s in the face of her Evangelical Conservatism.
It goes to the heart of who this woman is. And in this election cycle it’s purely a ploy to distract people from the real issues that McCain have and it’s a sign of a trigger happy senile candidate thinking that this woman will play to the base and possibly snatch some Hillary supporters.
THIS WOMAN IS NOT HILLARY.
Fine, Steve, you see this as courageous, do you really want a Journalism major from a third rate college with her hand on the button?
It’s a known fact that true conservatives would love to dismantle the federal government and their appointments often reflect this (i.e. Brownie) but this nomination smacks of it.
It’s not courageous it’s disgusting and callous.

Steve O,
Most billionaires are middle of the road students from third rate colleges… I’d take that type for President any day. Ever stop to think you might enjoy a fishing trip with this lady or an evening at the local pub? C’mon…

Steve, I would love BANGING HER BRAINS OUT!!!!
But that is not what I look for in leadership. I don’t want to fish with her or have a beer, I want to know that she is soooooo fucking intelligent that she would at least make Bush look smart.
But she is not there.
Again, I would bang this woman seven ways to Sunday. I would walk over hot coals and broken glass to suck the dick of the last guy that fucked her but I would not vote for her for Vice President.

Lazarus,
I’m not proud of it, why would you think such?
And, this is a big AND, what on Earth does that have to do with the current topic?
Man you guys love doing that!!!!

You mean like, um, you didn’t title a blog post, “Sarah Palin Covered Up Her Daughters Pregnancy”? Just speculating? I guess that earlier post was by some OTHER Steve O here at BIO!
By Craig R. Harmon on Sep 1, 2008 | Reply
Not to be confused with defending Red State. I don’t read them.

Someone once speculated about what Dr. Dobson might say about the premarital sex of a vice presidential pick. Well, I don’t know about that but we do know now what Dr. Dobson says about the out-of-wedlock pregnancy of the teen-aged daughter of a vice-presidential pick. Presumably Dobson’s opinions about the two cases are not all that different.

Craig, that was all about the placement of a question mark. Misleading maybe bu definitely not accusatory.
You decide it and debate it all you want, I told you I wasn’t fixing it
