This Is Sick and Wrong. Don’t Tell Me They Didn’t Know

This speaks for itself as well. Disgusting

WASHINGTON — Activists at a conservative political forum snapped up boxes of waffle mix depicting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama as a racial stereotype, with big lips and popping eyes, on its front and wearing Arab-like headdress on its top flap. Values Voter Summit organizers cut off sales of Obama Waffles boxes on Saturday, saying they had not realized the boxes displayed “offensive material.”

Racism is alive and well in the conservative party. Nothing new, but certainly shameful.

What else is new? The Christian Evangelical movement is infested with racists going all the way back to the day that the KKK collapsed. Where do yo think they all went? They just evaporated? No, they are no different then the insurgency in Iraq, they took off their hoods and blended in with their Christian upbringing and then started preaching hatred from the pulpit. They then used their influence to weasel their way into the Democratic party, as the Democratic party switched their platform under LBJ to civil rights these hating mother fuckers moved into the Republican party and there they have sat. Just look at Barbara Bush’s remarks during the Katrina Bush failure.

The only solution is to brand the Republican party a hate group.

Saying racism is alive in the conservative party is like saying terrorism is alive in the Muslim community.
It doesn’t mean all Muslims are terrrorists.
    Just for the record.

Whoo hoo, Lisa, you are on to something there. Can’t you agree that there is something wrong with what the GOP folk were doing with the waffle thing? Or are you that blind to what’s wrong with your own party?

    Lisa,

It isn’t just coincidence that racists are attracted to Republican ideology. If it were, then there would be an equal distribution of racists in both political parties. That certainly isn’t the case.

There is the upstanding citizen there Doc, um… Mr Robert Byrd in the Democratic Party.

Wasn’t it the Republicans that ended Slavery?

    Wasn’t George Wallace a Democrat?

    steve,

Wasn’t it the Democrats that actually ended it by ending segregation?

Don’t you remember, all the Wallace Democrats jumped to the Republican Party when Johnson signed the voting rights laws?

    steve,

We are talking about today’s Democrats and today’s Republicans, not the political parties of 100 years ago…

The Nixon Southern Strategy was based on getting the southern white supremacist vote to switch parties; when LBJ signed the act that put teeth in civil rights enforcement in 1965, one of his advisors told him he was giving the white south to the Republicans for a generation and LBJ replied that he knew it, but it was right and necessary.

    Doc
The republican party has black people in higher positions than the democrats.
You actually think that the old racist democrat party actually changed their policies to favor blacks out of the goodness of their hearts? As we can see they haven’t changed .They will go to any lengths to gain power.
Even by putting phony pillars behind Obama to give him the “Lincoln” illusion and having him speak in Europe to give people the “Kennedy”

You are right Doc. Democrats are only insensitive to handicapped people.

    Lisa,
The Democrats have black person running for President. How much higher do you want him to go? Morgan Freeman?

Paul I was going to say up until now but you think racism is alive and well.I bet it would be much more prevelant if a black republican were running. Hey the black and white left hates black republicans now. They would be smeared like nothing we ever saw before.
Because we know it’s the republicans who are the racists, right? :)

Yoo’re the ones who called Michelle Obama a baby-mama, so, yeah. I’d say white racists made up a higher proportion of Republicans than Democrats. I’d say Democrats have a much higher proportion of black racists.

I didn’t call Michelle Obama anything. So be cautious when sayiong “You are the ones” who called her Baby Mama.
But nothing like the attacks on McCain/Palin and Cindy.
But I appreciate you agreeing with the democrats labeling the republicans as racists.
