Sniff..Obama’s Comments . . .Sniff. . .Were Unfair. . . Sniff Sniff

September 18th, 2008 | by Cranky Liberal |

Aww did big bad Bawack Obama huht lilttle Johnny and Sawah’s feewings again???It seems Gov. Palin thinks he was being unfair to the Senior (Citizen) Senator for Arizona by making fun of his saying the fundamentals of the economy are strong.

(CNN) — Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin said Wednesday it was unfair of Barack Obama to attack John McCain after the Arizona senator said the fundamentals of the economy remain strong hours after a major investment bank filed for bankruptcy protection.

“Well, it was an unfair attack on the verbiage that Senator McCain chose to use because the fundamentals, as he was having to explain afterwards, he means our workforce, he means the ingenuity of the American people. And of course, that is strong and that is the foundation of our economy,” Palin said in an interview with Fox News, her second sit-down with a reporter since being named to the Republican presidential ticket nearly three weeks ago.

Um excuse me? First isn’t the indignation over Obama calling McCain out a bit like the pot calling the snowflake black here? These are the people who put out one heiniously distorted lie after another in commercials and at campaign stop and they thinnk its unfair to attack John McCain because McCain said something incredibly STUPID??? Give me a break!

Second, sorry John and Sarah, but “fundamentals” does not mean the workforce. It does not mean the American worker who works hard at working. It is an economic term. One that over 20 times this campaign you have used quite clearly in saying that the fundamentals remain strong. Never the workers were strong, or American labor (which frankly you Party has been almost gleefully happy to help break the back of) was ingenious. No you said fundamentals. That normally means key economic indicators like unemployment (higher), inflation (higher), consumer confidence (lower) etc. If you really truly meant the American workers then you are even MORE clueless about economics and the problems facing this country. Go collect that well earned (but not needed) Social Security check and get out of the way.

I don’t know about you - but I am getting pretty sick and tired of this phony pity party that Palin\McCain are having over everythign these days. Troopergate? Democratic Conspiracy. Fundamentals? Just Obama being mean. The View (the fucking VIEW)? Big old meannie headed women who just picked our bones clean. It’s just crap. Fundamentaly even.

Here’s the difference, the media helps the attacks on McCain/Palin while they help Obama/Biden.
They don’t have the same defense that Obama has. They don’t have Moveon in the background pulling the strings.
Now Moveon/Soros is making up a commercial in Spanish to attack McCain on immigration.
How much lower will they go?
You think the media would give McCain a pass on that if they ran the same ads?

Wow Cranky… that was fundamentally a stretch… making news out of nothing.

Ummm, I’m sorry, if someone hase to back track to explain something, they were lying to begin with.

That includes both candidates but I do believe that McCain’s straight talk express has used the reverse lever way to many times in the past.

If all you can do is lie to try and win than you are nothing but a liar. –Forest Gump 2008

LOL oh Steve when a candidate for office gets up and whines that her opponent is being unfair because he pounced on their fuckup, I think it’s totally within my right to laugh my ass off at them for acting like little cry babies. Whaaaaa Whaaaaaa. No wonder that lead is gone.

Lisa the media doesn’t help attack McCain\Palin - hell JOhn McCain and the media were great friends for years. He celebrated past birthdays with Brokaw and those guys. The media is DOING THEIR JOB by - get this- asking questions and calling bullshit when the answers are, well, bullshit.

Woudl the press give McCain the same pass for making a Spanish commercial attack Obama on immigration? Well he has and they have so the asnswer is yes. They also gave him a pass on the Spanish language commercial that lied about the tax issue.

And really Lisa, get over George Sorros for fucks sake. You don’t hear me screaming Richard Mellon Scaife or Rupert Murdoch or Grover Norquist ever 10 seconds and those guys are 10x worse than Sorros. Jesus.

And is another think I’m sick of you people whining about like Cindy McCain. Millions of Americans like myself got together to say enough is enough. It’s not some “evil cabal” its average people who want to take this country back from the lying cheatig stupid self serving greedy cock sucker administration of George Bush and the Right Wing. Well maybe that is evil if you support those policies. Yes Michael Moore in involved. THANK GOD for that. It’s fantastic to have a man who asks questions like: Why is our health care so poor in this country? Why do kids shoot each other? Why are they offshoring our jobs? Why are we in Iraq? You are a paranoid freak. Do you think Kennedy was a conspiracy, the moon landing was faked and that the earth is really flat? You must.

Why don’t you just nominate George Soros then instead of making everyone think Obama is the great one?
Right Michael Moore is a propagandist. He made Bowling for Columbine which happened during Clinton and threw Bush’s name around like it was all his fault and Healthcare that everyone had in the 90’s and lost it under Bush.
So what now you need George Soros/Obama to fix us. McCain is willing to work with democrats like he has in te past. So you really need to over that he is ging to Bush’s 3rd term.
Just what we need is to become another Europe.

You mean a place with working health care, working social security, which is not predicted to go into recession and which didn’t just fuck up the world economy all on its own?

Yeah, the last thing we need is another Europe.

  8. By admin on Sep 18, 2008 | Reply

Yeah I’d hate that. Be like Europe. Good food, good wine, good healthcare, no major wars, culture, history, and a strong currency. Yeah, sounds like hell on earth.

Your paranoid. it’s funny. But kind of scary Lisa. Do you hear voices too?

  9. By Lisa on Sep 18, 2008 | Reply

And which catergory would you fall into rich or poor?
MAybe not Europe like now(well almost) but when they need help because when Russia cuts them off who are they going to beg for help from?

  10. By Cranky Liberal on Sep 18, 2008 | Reply

And when Russia cuts us off? Or The Middle East? Or Chinese bankers?

We are not Super Man. We don’t wear tights and save the world. That’s part of the damn problem. Maybe if we’d quit trying to be the kid with the biggest dick on the planet and use that money for something useful our economy wouldn’t be in the crapper, our country wouldn’t be hated and our citizens would be better off. Ever stop to think who exactly are we protecting ourselves from and why do we need that big military? Is it because countries have big Navies and can invade us? Or is it to throw our might around the world “protecting our interests”

They don’t hate us for our freedom. They hate us because of our missile strikes.

AAAAND Lisa and Steve have done it again… successfully changed the subject, because they couldn’t come up with anything to say that was actually a response to this post! The sun will rise in the east, day will follow night, and Lisa and Steve will always change the subject. They do it too consistently for it to be accidental, especially as many times as it’s been pointed out - the only reasonable explanations are deliberate dishonesty, incredible mental laziness, or a major lack of the capacity for critical thinking. When my 5-year-old grandson displays this kind of failure to stay on task in his kindergarten class, he gets a red mark, a demerit, for the day. Luckily for him, he learns a lot faster than our pet neocons apparently do. After the first week of school he started coming home with a green mark every day. If you guys were in his class, you’d be getting a lot of time-outs.

THE TOPIC of this post, for the mouthbreathers among us who can’t keep it straight, is the ridiculous hypocrisy of the McCain/Palin campaign’s crying that the big nasty mean old Democrats are picking on them when Obama dares to quote McCain’s exact words and point out that McCain said something that has no connection with reality.

That’s how the Republican double standard works. They can say or do anything, no matter how lying (like Palin saying Obama plans to raise taxes, when independent analysts agree that 4 out of 5 U.S. households will pay lower taxes under his plan) or malicious (when was the last time you heard a liberal pundit branding voting Republican as treason or calling for a conservative Supreme Court justice to be murdered, a la Ann Coulter?).

On the other hand, they will quickly cry out that any criticism of them by anyone else, no matter how accurate, is vicious, underhanded, and unpatriotic.

They’re bullies, cowards, and hypocrites, and THAT is what this post is about.
