    Not even close. Hitler? Slightly more totalitrian? Stalin? Again, just a smidge more. Pinochet? Saddam? House of Saud? Mau? I think even if the Democrats do win big in November you’ll be quite a way from any totalitarianism and certainly a long way from ‘the worst’. But don’t let that stop the hyperbole. It’s fun watching conservatives become whining liberals

    Steve is living in his alternate reality again. Nixon was the imperial presidency. Bush loves executive privilege, signing statements, suspending Habeus Corpus, authorizing torture ( borrowed form the red chinese), and setting up show trials. Reagan broke the law with Iran contra. Yet he thinks the democratic party is the one pushing totalitarianism.

    having trouble this morning with a new computer. but, as far as the implosion of the Macpalin is concerned it is nothing compared to what is going to happen in about 1 minute. watch the stock market.
