Israel Hates Freedom of the Press

November 20th, 2008 | by Steve O |

Because you can’t get away with genocide if everyone is watching;

Israel has banned foreign journalists from entering Gaza to cover the deteriorating humanitarian situation there as the country ’s complete closure of the territory enters a third week.

I wonder what they don’t want the world to see? Darn, if it wasn’t for those pesky reporters we cold have gotten away with it!!!

Sadly, it looks like they will.

    I wish we could ban the liberal media too. Then shit wouldn’t get all twisted and distorted.

    Speaking of that…
    Hey, since Obama won, where was the media this time reporting disenfranchised voters who were blocked from voting in the inner cities? I mean shit, it happened in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006 but not 2008?

    steve,
    Given that that would have helped Obama, where’s the news value? “Obama victory not quite as overwhelming as it could have been” isn’t quite the same as “Candidate who should have won didn’t”. Still, if you want to bitch and moan because you lost, go for it. Just expect to get mocked as badly as you’ve been mocking liberals for hte last four years.

    Onto the topic (you remember staying on topic, right, steve? Try it sometime), no government allows journalists free reign in wartime. That’s what embedding is for.
