Sometimes the only respite from the partisan protestations and fabrications is humor...and today felt like one of those days, Yes, I realize humor can also be misconstrued through the prism of petty partisanship...which is why I intend to preface this posting with a clear and concise caveat.
The latest blog swarm ...

If you're going to foment a gender driven divide, or any other contrivance, in order to win votes, you have to realize that its effect can't be isolated within one party...and it isn't apt to resonate with those voters who haven't the time to participate in the pettiness of politics. ...

It's easy to get caught up in the heat of the moment...and it's also easy to question the judgment of Barack Obama and his campaign in light of the constant unfounded GOP attacks.
While I share the same concerns, the current moment made me recall a similar moment prior to ...

2008 Democratic National Convention - Media Welcoming Party
Sunday, August 24th, 2008
Last night, I attended the Media Welcoming Party, held at Elitch Gardens in Denver...the same venue (relocated) that played a role 100 years prior during the 1908 Democratic National Convention.
The 9,000 attendees were treated to an abundance of food, drink, and entertainment. Two particular items caught my attention. The ...

In 1960, television likely played a part in JFK's defeat of Richard Nixon. In the 2008 election, while YouTube may be poised to play a similar role, I suspect that the debates will actually provide a level of discrimination that is reminiscent of 1960...technicolor will yield to contrast.
In this ...
